“The key is not to prioritise your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.” — Stephen Covey
How it works
- 1Type each task into a card. Delete the example tasks first, or overwrite them.
- 2Score each task on Importance, Leverage, and Urgency (1 to 3). The tool multiplies them -- a low score on any one dimension pulls the total down hard.
- 3Adjust the Show top slider to match your real capacity for the day or week.
- 4Click Calculate impact scores and rank. Your tasks are sorted highest to lowest. The top N are marked Do, the rest Park or Cut.
- 5In Step 2, fill in estimated time, energy needed, and calendar slot for your Do items only.
- 6Answer the Step 3 sanity check honestly before you start work.
What the scores mean
Friction Remover
- ✓Tick this if the task removes a blockage that is slowing everything else down. It automatically sets Leverage to 3, because removing friction compounds across the whole system.
The golden rule
Rank by impact
Add your tasks and score each on three dimensions. The Friction Remover override automatically sets Leverage to 3 — removing a blockage compounds across the whole system.
| # | Task | Score | Action |
|---|
Schedule by time
Top-ranked items only. Now — and only now — bring in duration, energy, and calendar slot. Never let these influence ranking. Impact decides what. Time decides when.
| # | Task | Score | Est. time | Energy | Calendar slot |

Sanity check
Honest answers only. This is where the real learning lives.
Ask yourself:
△ Am I avoiding a high-impact item because it feels big or uncomfortable?
△ Am I filling my day with low-impact quick wins?
△ Does my calendar protect space for deep, high-leverage work?
If yes to any of these — correct it immediately. A ranked list does not fix overload. It exposes it.
